Spring Equinox meets the first song I've written in nearly 3 years...

Since a self imposed musical break from the summer of 2008 until December of last year, at long last I have been inspired again and am filled with excitement to write and play music again! "Be Here" marks the beginning of a new sound, a new thought behind lyrics and perfectly coincides with a very different    me. It is a love song, a song of hope, a song of transformation and change. It speaks to the self, both the Higher and Lower. It speaks to possible lovers, both new or from former lives. Its speaks to the possibilities that life has to offer when we are able to finally let go...Have a listen: [click here]

Step UP Women's Network LA: Spoken Word Poetry Class in Lincoln Heights

As a Senior Instructor for the Step Up Women's Network here in LA, I have the honor and great joy to work with amazing teens each week teaching both Spoken Word Poetry and Film/Video workshops. At the LA Leadership Academy in Lincoln Heights (aka LALA) the 10th and 11th graders involved this semester were all amazing and natural poets! Some of them, as often is the case, discovered their inner poets for the first time throughout our 2 month's together once a week on Wednesday's after school, while the rest of them already had played with words and its so inspiring to watch them all grow and come out of their shells and express themselves through poetry! They asked me throughout the semester to perform something for them with my guitar and I promised them to do so on the last day of class.

10 Yr. Acoustic Retrospective @ the MorYork Gallery, Highland Park 12/29/10

It's been a fruitful year and decade of much transformation, new phases, places and fears and challenges overcome on the interior landscapes of the heart place. I'm looking forward to this blog being alot busier in the coming year as I have been taking steps in recent months towards learning one of my main instruments, Guitar, and forming the band that has been waiting to be formed now for years.
